About this Validator

This tool validates Argentine CUIT (Código Único de Identificación Tributaria) numbers according to the official format and validation rules established by AFIP (Federal Administration of Public Revenue).

The validator checks if a given CUIT follows the correct format structure and verifies the check digit using the official algorithm.

This validation only confirms if a CUIT follows the correct format. It does not verify if the number is actually registered with Argentine tax authorities.

What is an Argentine CUIT?

The CUIT is Argentina's unique taxpayer identification number, used for tax purposes including VAT (IVA - Impuesto al Valor Agregado) and other taxes. It's essential for business operations and tax compliance in Argentina.

A CUIT consists of 11 digits structured as follows: • First 2 digits: Entity type (20, 23, 24, 27, 30, 33, 34 for different types) • Middle 8 digits: Unique identifier number • Last digit: Check digit

CUIT prefix numbers indicate entity type: • 20, 23, 24, 27: Individuals • 30: Corporations and other legal entities • 33: For certain legal entities • 34: Special cases
